The term "commercial lift" means the type of lift that can be installed in work buildings such as shops, buildings, offices, and shopping centres.
The characteristics of these lifts are subject to "Law 13/89", which eliminates architectural barriers in private buildings, and to European Directive EN 81.70 regarding accessibility for people, including disabled ones.
In the below table are the minimum allowed parameters of the above regulation, and in the case of installation in a building in Lombardy it is also necessary that it comply with criteria regulating installation of public lifts for this region (Lombardy Region Law n. 6/89). |
