On this page we take into consideration the installation of lifts in residential buildings (meaning for housing) of new constructions.
The characteristics of these lifts are regulated by Law 13 of 1989 and of the Ministry of Public Works Decree 236 of 1989.
This law is valid in the entire Italian territory.
An exception is the Region of Lombardy which, issued its own regulation (Regional Law 6 of 1989), which established more strict size parameters and particularly lift door size for lifts installed in that region.
Minimum values of the aforementioned regulation are listed in the below table below. |
